Yamila Lorenzo is a Partner at Ainsworth & Clancy. She focuses on commercial litigation and corporate transactional matters.
Yamila graduated magna cum laude in the top 10% of her graduating class, from St. Thomas University School of Law in May 2018. During law school, she served as Articles Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review and Vice President of Internal Affairs of the Moot Court Board. She also completed internships with the Honorable John J. O’Sullivan and the Appellate Litigation Clinic.
While on the Moot Court Board, Yamila also competed and coached in numerous Moot Court competitions, including San Diego National Criminal Procedure Tournament, John J. Gibbons National Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition, and Robert Orseck Memorial Moot Court Competition.
Additionally, Yamila was elected as a recipient of the National Order of Barrister’s Award, in recognition of effective oral advocacy and brief writing skills.
Yamila is also fluent in written and spoken Spanish.
